It is time to give our kitchen a face lift, and we want to do it on a budget. With help from our talented interior designer/neighbor, a clever kitchen planner, a few good friends who enjoy tearing things apart, and a lot of our own hard work, it will happen.
We promise to document the good, the bad and the ugly of this DIY remodel. Someday we will look back and this and laugh about it. Wish us luck.

The bar/half-wall looks great!
We are very pleased with how the bar turned out, so much better than that spindle rail.
Still painting a bit, tarps are everywhere, but we are making the best of it.
