It is time to give our kitchen a face lift, and we want to do it on a budget. With help from our talented interior designer/neighbor, a clever kitchen planner, a few good friends who enjoy tearing things apart, and a lot of our own hard work, it will happen. We promise to document the good, the bad and the ugly of this DIY remodel. Someday we will look back and this and laugh about it. Wish us luck.

I love, love, love your kitchen. Could you please tell me what brand, sheen, and color of paint you used. I also noticed that you have stained window trim and baseboards, did you leave those as is. I have basically the same set up as you and I am a nervous wreck to paint my cabinets. You have inspired me. Thanks-Tonicka.

HI- Thanks for you message! I used Sherwin Williams Pro Classic Satin finish, the color was Casa Blanca
So far it has held up great, has been 2 1/2 years now I think. The only place where the paint gets dinged is the cabinet where the trash can is, I think it gets too dirty and perhaps I should have sanded that stain before I ever worked on it, as it might have been a little too grimy for the other treatments I used. Please feel free to ask any more questions and good luck! So glad I did it, even though it was more work than expected!
The stain was left as is, kind of an orangish/warm oak stain, not sure of the color.
